Exempt Job Summary Adjunct Instructors in the Department of Educational Leadership provide high-quality instruction in graduate-level courses aligned with the department's mission to prepare educational leaders for diverse school and organizational contexts. This position is part-time and filled on an as-needed basis depending on program enrollment and departmental needs. Essential Job Functions Teach assigned graduate-level courses using current pedagogical methods and maintain accurate records of student performance and grades. Maintain effective and timely communication with students, department chair, and university personnel. Other duties may be assigned to support departmental and university needs.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
A graduate degree (master's or higher) in Educational Leadership, School Law, or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in educational leadership or related subject matter. Commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
Desired Qualifications:
Doctorate in Educational Leadership or related discipline. Demonstrated expertise in educational leadership or related subject matter. Commitment to excellence in teaching and student success.
Supplemental Information Key Competencies:
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to design and deliver engaging, rigorous, and relevant instruction for adult learners. Proficiency in implementing innovative and effective teaching strategies in online and hybrid environments. Ability to foster a respectful, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.
Physical Requirements:
The essential functions of this position are primarily intellectual and relational. The role requires the ability to: Communicate effectively in virtual and face-to-face settings. Engage professionally with students, colleagues, and community partners. Utilize technology for teaching, assessment, and administrative tasks.
