We're looking for someone with strong culinary knowledge who also genuinely enjoys people — someone who can teach useful skills, answer questions, keep a class moving, and create an experience guests want to come back for.
First Things First:
This Is Not Culinary School Our classes are designed for everyday people who want to learn something new and have a really fun night out. Think date night, girls' night, friends cooking together, or someone finally learning how to properly use a chef's knife — not lectures, tests, or professional culinary training. We absolutely want our guests to learn real skills and techniques and leave feeling more confident in the kitchen, but the experience should be relaxed, social, approachable, and fun. What You Might Teach Classes could include: Knife Skills Cooking Basics / Cooking 101 Date Night Cooking Classes Fresh Pasta Making Sauces & Stocks Meat & Seafood Basics Dinner Party Cooking International Cuisines Seasonal Cooking Other creative, hands-on savory classes We're also very open to your ideas. If there's something you love to cook and think would make a great class, we want to hear about it. This Job Might Be Perfect for You If… You're a chef or experienced cook who loves the food world but would enjoy stepping outside of the traditional restaurant environment. Maybe you're a: Current or former restaurant chef or cook looking for something fun on the side Private or personal chef who enjoys working with people Caterer looking to add a few classes to your monthly schedule Culinary school graduate who loves the creative side of cooking Experienced culinary professional who has stepped away from restaurant life but misses being in the kitchen Food professional who has always thought, "I would love to teach a class." Great cook with a strong culinary background and a personality that shines in front of a group You do not need previous teaching experience. We care much more about your ability to cook, communicate, connect with people, and make a room feel comfortable. A Schedule That Works Around You This is a very part-time position, approximately 3-5 classes per month, and we want it to fit into your life — not take it over. For the right candidate, we will work around your schedule. You'll have the opportunity to choose the dates that work for you and the classes you'd like to teach, and we'll build those classes into our studio calendar. Have a full-time restaurant job? Great. Run your own catering or private chef business? No problem. Have family commitments or simply only want to teach a few evenings each month? That can work too. We're looking for the right person and are happy to be flexible to make the schedule work. Who We're Looking For Our ideal instructor has professional culinary experience or a strong equivalent background and is comfortable working independently in a kitchen. But just as importantly, you should like teaching and like people. You should be able to explain techniques without making them intimidating, comfortably interact with a room full of guests, keep a class organized and moving, and create an atmosphere where people feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Restaurant, catering, private chef, culinary school, or other professional cooking experience could all be a great fit. What Matters Most to Us We want guests to leave saying: "I learned something I'll actually use at home, and that was so much fun." We're not looking for someone to turn our studio into culinary school. We're looking for someone who can combine great food, real skills, and a great experience.
