This is a unique, on-call position for someone who wants meaningful, purpose-driven work without a fixed weekly commitment.

Because you may be called on to cover any workshop, Substitute Educators are trained across our full K3-5th grade STEAM curriculum. We'll invest the time to get you comfortable leading any session in our lineup, so you can step in with confidence on short notice.

What we're looking for: Availability Monday through Friday during school hours, with the flexibility to respond to last-minute scheduling requests Complete paid training across our full curriculum so you're ready to cover any grade level or topic Comfort learning and delivering a wide range of hands-on, technology-based workshops across multiple grade levels Confidence engaging and managing a classroom independently, often with limited lead time Reliability and strong communication, since schools are counting on quick confirmation when a need arises
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education, computer science, technology, the arts, or a related field preferred Experience working in school settings with diverse student populations Familiarity with teaching STEAM content to elementary students, or willingness to learn Strong technology skills and problem-solving ability; prior coding experience is a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Positive attitude, flexibility, and dependability Must have reliable transportation Bilingual candidates will be given special consideration
