Electrical Engineer

About Us:

​Swingmaster Corporation, established in 1985 and based in Franklin Park, Illinois, is a leading provider of specialized, custom-engineered products for the railroad industry. Come join an established company in the area! We are looking for an experienced electrical engineer to work on our heavy equipment, including new manufacturing and retrofit of new electrical systems in equipment rebuilds.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop electrical systems, ensuring they meet equipment specifications and engineering standards. 2. Utilize CAD design tools to prepare and revise electrical drawings and schematics. 3. Collaborate with the MEP team to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into overall equipment designs. 4. Design and oversee the installation of electrical control systems. 5. Coordinate with other engineers, project managers, and assembly line to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. 8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and standards. 9. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues that arise during the design, implementation, or retrofit phases.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 2. Around 10 years of experience in electrical design engineering. 3. Around 10 years of experience including project management in a manufacturing environment. 4. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
