Electrician

About us Altone Electric, LLC is a family owned commercial electrical contractor in Schenectady, NY. We have been in business since 1987. Our work focuses on commerical construction and light industrial electrical installations. Our projects are typically located in the Capital Region, but may extend to Saratoga, Greene, or Columbia county and other parts of the surrounding area.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with local and national electrical codes
• Collaborate with construction teams to plan and complete electrical wiring projects
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical systems
• Install electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures
• Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and make necessary repairs or replacements
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to all relevant regulations and standards

Skills:

• Proficient in electrical work, including wiring, installation, maintenance, and repair
• Knowledge of frame carpentry techniques for installing electrical components
• Familiarity with power tools used in the electrical trade
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines and requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of low voltage systems, such as telecommunications or security systems
• Previous experience as a commercial or industrial electrician is preferred
