Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. There is an exciting opportunity available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work across early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school settings. This contract position is located near Kalamazoo, MI, with the possibility of extending into the following academic year based on performance.
Qualifications:
Active, valid Speech-Language Pathology license in the state of Michigan Certification of Clinical Competence from ASHA (ASHA-CCC) Experience working with school-aged children, including early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for working effectively with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt therapy and strategies to diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of speech, language, and communication challenges Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Deliver engaging therapy sessions tailored to student age and skill levels across multiple school sites Collect and maintain accurate records, track student progress, and communicate results with parents and school staff Provide consultative and support services to teachers and facilitate carryover of communication strategies within classroom settings Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to special education and speech-language pathology
