Position Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Music Teacher to lead engaging music classes for students in Pre-K through 5th Grade. The ideal candidate brings joy, energy, and creativity into the classroom, while building foundational skills in rhythm, melody, singing, and musical expression.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and teach developmentally appropriate music classes for elementary-aged students. Introduce students to basic music theory, rhythm, movement, instruments, and vocal performance. Organize and lead school-wide performances (e.g., winter or spring concerts, holiday events). Collaborate with classroom teachers and administration on school-wide programs. Foster an inclusive, joyful, and respectful classroom environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field (required). Teaching certification (preferred). Previous experience teaching music to children (school or informal settings). Strong classroom management skills and a warm, engaging presence. Ability to play an instrument such as piano or guitar (preferred). Familiarity with Orff, Kodály, or other child-centered music education approaches is a plus.
