Our Instructional Leader Vision At Ralls ISD, we believe that the principal is the lead learner in the building. We are seeking a passionate, visionary Instructional Leader to join our team. We are not looking for a building manager; we are looking for a pedagogical expert who can foster a culture of high expectations, nurture teacher growth, and ensure every student has access to high-quality, data-driven instruction. If you are a practitioner who thrives in the classroom, loves analyzing student data to make data-informed decisions, and is dedicated to coaching teachers toward excellence, we want to hear from you. The Role As our Principal, your primary responsibility is to elevate the quality of teaching and learning across the school. You will spend the majority of your time in classrooms, facilitating professional learningmunities (PLCs), and working side by side with staff to refine their craft. Key Responsibilities 1. Instructional Coaching & Teacher Development
Observation & Feedback:
Conduct frequent, high-leverage classroom walkthroughs and provide actionable, growth-oriented feedback to teachers to improve pedagogical practice.
Professional Development:
Design and facilitate engaging, relevant, and sustained professional development workshops that align with the school's academic goals.
Mentorship:
Support new teachers through a robust induction process and provide targeted mentorship for veteran staff seeking to refine specific skills. 2. Curriculum & Data-Driven Decision Making
Data Analysis:
Lead the school in establishing systems to collect, analyze, and act on student performance data to inform instruction and intervention.
Curriculum Implementation:
Oversee curriculum fidelity, ensuring alignment with state standards and schoolwide learning targets.
Intervention Systems:
Develop and monitor a strong Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to identify and address individual student learning needs early. 3. Cultivating a Culture of Learning
Collaborative Leadership:
Facilitate high-functioning Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) where teachers analyze student work, share best practices, and hold each other accountable for student oues.
High Expectations:
Champion a school-wide culture of academic rigor and equitable opportunity, ensuring that every student—regardless of background—is challenged and supported.
Community Engagement:
Communicate instructional goals clearly to parents, stakeholders, and themunity to build shared ownership of school success.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
Education:
Master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
Certification:
Possession of, or eligibility for, a state administrative/principal certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of successful classroom teaching experience. Proven experience in a leadership role (e.g., Assistant Principal, Instructional Coach, Department Chair, or Lead Teacher).
Skills:
Deep knowledge of evidence-based instructional strategies. Expertise in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to drive school improvement. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to have "courageous conversations" with staff regarding performance. Preferred Qualifications Experience leading school-wide change initiatives or turnaround efforts. Demonstrated history of measurable growth in student achievement under your leadership. Experience with specific curriculum programs used at Ralls Elementary.
Salary Range:
Salary ispetitive andmensurate with experience. $250 towards insurance 2% Matching Annuity
