Job Purpose Member of an associate team with the responsibility for providing planning, technical direction, operation improvements, and operator support associated with the manufacturing, rework, and repair of gas turbine engine components and assemblies. Key Accountabilities Provide manufacturing engineering support on supplied parts, in house manufactured parts, design requirements, manufacturing process, and finished parts Support and create manufacturing plans from design specifications to meet quality requirements. Ensure plans are audit ready Develop programs/methods to optimize producibility, reduce cycle time, manufacturing losses & overall shop cost Track manufacturing discrepancy performance and provide input on process improvements, create counter measures, controls and work instructions Qualifications, Experience, and Skills Minimum Educational Qualifications Bachelor's degree engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experience Minimum Experience Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience Other Job-Specific Skills Ability to interpret drawings and able to understand refer to and interpret Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Engineering experience in gas turbine engine parts and assemblies or similar manufacturing setting. Experience with lean manufacturing initiatives such as TQM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma. Computer skills Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc Experience with CAD/CAM software Working Conditions Climate-controlled office environment. The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shield, hearing protection and safety shoes Ability to handle parts weighing up to 30 lbs.
