Job Description

Creare, a leading engineering research and development firm in New Hampshire, is looking to fill the position of Quality Engineer. While employed by Creare, this role will support our subsidiary, Brayton Energy, and will be based in their offices in Hampton, NH. This role reports to the Creare QA Director and focuses on direct project execution. The Quality Engineer will work closely with QA Managers and others to ensure our projects meet or exceed the rigorous standards required by our contracts.
Primary responsibilities:
Interpret project-specific contractual requirements into executable actions for the project team. Communicate requirements to the entire project team, including engineers, manufacturing personnel, purchasing, inspectors, receiving/QC inspectors, contracts, etc. Work directly with project teams to ensure contractual requirements are met. Identify potential improvements to corporate-wide procedures to enhance product quality and efficiency. Interact with customer technical and quality assurance personnel to understand requirements and address issues. Collaborate with contracts and other corporate departments on project-specific issues. Lead customer quality assurance audits. Understand ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and maintain/develop working knowledge of other relevant standards. An engineering degree from an ABET-accredited institution is required, with at least 3 or preferably 5 or more years of relevant experience in an aerospace or electronics manufacturing environment. Certifications such as Lead Auditor, Internal Auditor, or ASQ Quality Engineer certification are preferred and demonstrate the candidate's expertise and commitment to Quality Assurance. Reliability Engineering experience or certification (such as ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer) is highly desirable and will strengthen the candidate's ability to support product reliability and lifecycle performance. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, concern for accuracy, and strong written and oral communication skills are also required. Knowledge of Six Sigma is a plus. Salary Range:
