Civil Engineer - Aviation

As a result, a full-time position is available for an Experienced Aviation Engineer at our Dallas, Austin, or San Antonio, TX office location, to plan, design and manage tasks for engineering projects.

Responsibilities include:

Serves as a project engineer on projects and as a technical resource and/or project manager May assist with or lead marketing pursuits and/or act as a client contact May serve as engineer in charge to review, approve, and apply professional engineering seals to final plans and specifications May perform supervisory duties related to the assigned projects Assists with pricing, estimating, and scoping for proposed projects Prepares and/or monitors budgets and work-in-process for specific tasks within assigned projects Develops probable construction cost estimates for specific tasks within assigned projects Prepares or directs preparation and modification of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, and designs for projects Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents Performs and/or oversees quality system tasks as defined in the quality manual Visits project sites to monitor progress and handles routine construction administration May serve as onsite project representative Attends client meetings - days or nights The successful candidate will have: A bachelor's degree (or higher) in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least six (6) years of aviation industry experience A PE license is required (TX preferred, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire) The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: Experience leading aviation design and construction projects Construction management experience AutoCAD Civil 3D experience At Mead & Hunt we shape the future by putting people first.
