Yuhua Song Department Name 442000000 Biomedical Engineering School/College School of Engineering Job Description Postdoctoral research/fellow position open in Dr. Yuhua Song Group in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Alabama at Birmingham Our research group recruits a self-motivated postdoctoral researcher/fellow to investigate small molecule therapeutic drug discovery and mechanism studies in Alzheimer's disease, cancer and other neurodegenerative diseases. The candidates are expected to have strong expertise in molecular and cell biological experiments and in vivo study as evidenced by first-author publications in quality peer-reviewed journals. Research experience of In vivo study for Therapeutic Drug efficacy and mechanism studies in Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disease are desirable. Research experience for dish-based clinical trials using iPSC technology for therapeutic outcome studies is also desirable. The candidate is expected to work with a high degree of independence and with good team spirit. Our group also performs extensive computational biology research. The new researcher will have opportunity to work with colleagues in computational biology research and gain additional computational biology skills.
