Job Description

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
  • Hands-on laboratory experience in a research or product development setting (academic research counts)
  • Proficiency in Cad tools for 3D modeling and prototyping
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB, Arduino, and LabVIEW for data acquisition and control
  • Experience with FMEA, Work Breakdown Structure, and Gantt-based planning
  • Familiarity with lab test equipment (oscilloscope, SEM, spectrophotometry)
  • Fabrication skills: 3D printing, soldering, basic machine shop tools
  • Strong data analysis
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Leadership and coordination experience of technical projects
  • Exposure to medical device design controls or DHF workflows
  • Coursework in biocompatible materials, biomedical sensors, or electromechanical prototypes
  • Python scripting for test automation
  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support Design Verification (DV) and V&V activities for medical device programs
  • Read and interpret protocols, procedures, and engineering specifications
  • Set up, execute, and monitor bench-level verification tests
  • Operate and troubleshoot test stands, data acquisition systems, and lab equipment
  • Build and validate prototype fixtures using SolidWorks and 3D-printed parts
  • Collect, record, and analyze test data; drive anomalies to root cause
  • Author test reports, protocols, and summary memos with full traceability
  • Support risk-management activities including hazard analysis and FMEA updates
  • Partner with R&D engineers and V&V leads onsite and offshore
  • Maintain lab notebooks and documentation per
ISO 13485 / 21 CFR 820
  • Multi-task across concurrent workstreams with shifting priorities
  • Manage and coordinate project activities maintaining clear lines of communication
  • Other duties as assigned
Salary Range:
$70,000- $73,000 a year
