Job Description:
The Biomedical and HTM Supervisor will be a working position and will be expected to perform highly skilled technical and advisory work in the installation, maintenance, modification, construction, demonstration, and repair of complex diagnostic and therapeutic medical devices without direct oversight. The Biomedical and HTM Supervisor will oversee day-to-day activities, direct and coordinate service activities for all assigned areas of responsibility, provide technical resources and guidance for biomedical staff as assigned. This position requires qualities of leadership and mentorship to positively impact the Biomedical and HTM team to achieve departmental and organizational goals. Qualifications:
Education:
Associate of Applied Science Degree from a Biomedical Electronics Program/accredited institution, or degree or certificate of equivalence through military/technical education in biomedical/electronics/engineering, or Equivalent years of education and experience required
Licensure:
Valid WI Driver's License (DL) required. Certification in CBET, CRES, etc. preferred
Experience:
Minimum of five years of progressively complex (troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, design and modification) hospital-based biomedical equipment technician (BMET)experience Specialized training and expertise on complex biomedical device or group of devices that require a high level of skill Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office or similar product Demonstrated proficiency knowledge of networking technology Excellent human relations and communication skills Five years of proven successful experience servicing and maintaining diagnostic and therapeutic medical/imaging equipment Demonstrated proficiency/troubleshooting of application support of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment from device to server application
