Job Description

The Designer Drafter works with
AMERICAN
Innovation, AMERICAN Valve & Hydrant (AVH), Waterous, and other Business Unit Partners as needed to support product manufacturing. The role also assists with collecting and organizing data for proof of design files. In addition, the Designer Drafter develops and creates 3D models and related drawings for component castings, component machining, product assemblies, illustrations, and submittals. These materials support Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and other areas across the organization as needed. Minimum Qualifications Prior experience producing quality engineering drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar. Ability to read and interpret technical project specifications and drawings, including basic welding notations, machine marks, etc. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Two or more years of drafting experience. Prior experience, training, or certification in SolidWorks software. Associate degree in Engineering Technology or a related field from an accredited college or university.
