The ideal candidate has Sheet Metal Experience. The SolidWorks Designer reports directly to the
Design Lead Designer Expectations:
- Communicate with our sales team while developing customers products
- Develop SolidWorks parts, assemblies and drawings
- Familiarize themselves with
ASME Y14.5
- Organize drawing packages for assembly
- Create BOMS for purchasing
- Keep and organize library of drawings
- Be proficient in shop mathematics to calculate tool offsets, home positions and verify print dimensions
- Have a basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry
- Follow all PP&M S.O.P's established for the Designer
- Willingness to consistently walk the shop floor, which includes reviewing designs, catching design issues on the shop floor and receiving feed back from the Foreman, Shop lead and other fabricators. Requirements for this position
