We are looking for a Structural Steel Detailer for a full-service Structural Steel Fabrication company in Anaheim. As an industrial TEKLA structural steel detailer , you will be responsible for modeling and creating shop and erection drawings using CAD design software (SolidWorks, Tekla Structures, AutoCAD) Starting pay-rate: $30-35/hr depending on experience

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 6am-2:30pm + Overtime opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize Tekla Structures software to produce comprehensive plans, elevations, and intricate details for various structural building components, including but not limited to staircases, mezzanines, equipment platforms, moment connections, machine frames, and building frames. Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and field erection crews to ensure seamless coordination throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct thorough reviews of structural and architectural drawings and specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Execute structural steel detailing tasks with meticulous attention to detail, encompassing stairs, ladders, and railings. Work hand-in-hand with project managers to generate and submit Requests for Information (RFIs), facilitating effective communication and problem-solving. Perform diligent reviews and revisions of drawings, incorporating engineering calculations, architect notes/instructions, and on-site conditions as necessary. Adhere strictly to applicable building codes and uphold company design standards, while delivering detailed drawings within allocated man-hour budgets.

Required Skills/Abilities:

At least 3 years of related experience is Required. TEKLA Structures experience is essential. Knowledge of steel industry/construction is Preferred. Experience with SolidWorks or AutoCAD is preferred Knowledge of AWS (American Welding Society). Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment. Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
