In the role of Substation CAD Technician, we'll count on you to: Prepare engineering drawings using computer-aided design software, including One Line Diagrams, General Arrangements Sections, Grounding & Conduit Plans, Foundation Plans, Material Lists (BOM), Relay and Control Systems Schematics and Wiring Diagrams. Coordinate with engineers and designers of other disciplines like electrical, structural, and civil design practices throughout the course of the project. Perform Redline corrections and develop design drawings from initial sketches. Perform discipline specific drafting assignments requiring application of standardized drawing techniques, under the direct supervision of an engineer, or other technical professional. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 3 years related industry experience as a CAD Technician Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, MicroStation, and Revit. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm. Required Qualifications Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools Experience with 3D Coordination tools Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts What We Believe HDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position is $69,000 - $93,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
