Job Description
CAD Designer II Job Description Our client is seeking a CAD Designer II to support the design of water and wastewater treatment equipment. This role will create 3D models, skid layouts, piping designs, and fabrication drawings for industrial process systems while working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams. Responsibilities Design and model process skids, piping systems, and water treatment equipment. Create fabrication drawings, skid layouts, spool drawings, and general arrangement drawings. Review P&IDs, project specifications, and design requirements. Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are accurate and buildable. Perform drawing quality checks and support project schedules. Qualifications Associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or related field, or equivalent experience. 2-5 years of CAD design experience in industrial, process, or skid-based environments. Experience with skid design, water systems, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings . Proficiency with AutoCAD ; AutoCAD Plant 3D is highly preferred. Strong understanding of piping systems, equipment layouts, and drafting standards. Preferred Qualifications Experience with water/wastewater treatment equipment. Familiarity with fabrication and skid assembly practices. Experience with Advance Steel is a plus. Work Environment Office-based role with occasional visits to a local fabrication shop. Contract-to-hire opportunity. Potential salary raise when going permeant Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Plano, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
