•80,000/year Final compensation will be based on the candidate's overall experience, technical capabilities, education or training, and demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Candidates with strong Civil 3D capabilities and direct civil/site land development experience may qualify toward the upper end of the applicable range. Position Overview The CAD Technician / Civil Designer will work closely with CIVILGEAR's engineers, project managers, and CAD team to prepare accurate and detailed civil engineering plans and construction documents for land development projects. The ideal candidate has a strong drafting background, excellent attention to detail, and an interest in civil engineering and land development. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly preferred. Recent graduates with a strong AutoCAD foundation and a desire to develop their Civil 3D and civil engineering design skills are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed CAD drawings from conceptual plans, surveys, sketches, and engineering markups Assist with preparation of civil site development plans, including site layouts, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, profiles, sections, and construction details Translate hand-drawn sketches, redlines, and design concepts into accurate production drawings Review architectural plans, surveys, and other project information and incorporate applicable information into civil engineering plans Collaborate directly with engineers, project managers, and other CAD team members to ensure drawing accuracy and constructability Revise plans based on engineering redlines, agency comments, field conditions, design modifications, and client feedback Follow

drafting standards and established project requirements Maintain organized CAD files, reference drawings, and project documentation Manage multiple assignments while meeting project schedules and deadlines Develop increasing knowledge of civil site design and Civil 3D as experience progresses Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required Technical school, CAD certification, Associate Degree, or related education preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD required AutoCAD Civil 3D experience highly preferred Civil engineering, land development, surveying, or related drafting experience preferred but not required for entry-level candidates Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines Ability to read and interpret surveys, architectural plans, engineering plans, and technical documents Ability to accurately translate sketches, markups, and conceptual layouts into CAD drawings Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a project team Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and develop new technical skills Benefits
