Royston, GA (Home Office) Position Summary (major areas of contribution): A CAD Technician in Construction Services is responsible for transposing client led design criteria into 2 Dimensional layouts that will be used for permitting and installation purposes. The Technician will work within the CAD team to support all ongoing programs spanning across all client programs. In addition to drafting within AutoCAD, the position also includes generating our 360° photograph walkthrough files for our clients' use. Essential Functions /Job Responsibilities:
Prompt and accurate processing of customer requests to develop remodel plans used by our A&E and construction partners to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality. Coordination of work with other team members to maintain necessary production schedules to meet customer deadlines. Using provided software and established protocols/processes to meet existing client expectations. Process and update as-built condition drawings to ensure accuracy prior to remodel design phase. Utilize 360˚ picture mapping software to generate a virtual walkthrough file to be used by clients to view existing stores. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications /Skills:
Proficient in Autodesk design software or equivalent, including AutoCAD (2D). Proficient in MS Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel). Strong Communication Skills - Occasional direct client engagement. Innovative problem-solving abilities. Ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to read and understand architectural drawings. Education /Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Certificate from Technical School or equivalent experience preferred. Two- or four-year degree in engineering, architecture, drafting or related field preferred, but not required. Previous experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD software preferred. Experience working in a fast-paced, high output atmosphere.Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Occasionally may be required to stand; walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear, lift office supplies up to 20 pounds.
