Job Summary If you're interested in an Expert Level CAD Technician job, then this is the best role for you! This role is responsible for completing piping design and drafting for various plant and engineering disciplines. This role involves independently producing detailed engineering drawings suitable for bidding and construction. The designer may also make project design decisions and ensure accuracy in all documentation. Job Description Perform civil and mechanical system design and decision-making Apply sound engineering and design principles to projects Ensure systems and equipment comply with regulatory standards Assist with project reviews and system design evaluations Review field installations to ensure alignment with design plans Verify and complete as-built drawings Develop construction drawings and documentation Collaborate with Project Engineers, Planners, and Field Coordinators Prepare equipment and material take-offs and specifications Conduct site surveys and field verification to support design Develop site plans, equipment layouts, piping plans, and isometrics Update as-built drawings Support construction activities as needed Coordinate with Project Planner to establish resources Skills Required Strong communication and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Basic knowledge of civil and mechanical engineering principles Ability to work effectively in a team environment Proficiency in AutoCAD Knowledge of surveying and field verification (e.g., Leica point cloud) Understanding of mechanical and civil design practices and regulations Familiarity with design codes and standards (OSHA, ADA, ASME, etc.) Experience with process-related equipment such as pumps, piping, and heat exchangers Education/Training/Certifications Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent Additional Requirements Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checks
Shift Start:
07:30 AM Ability to ascend and descend stairs periodically Capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs Ability to access all areas of the plant Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment Availability of working core business hours Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as needed to support plant activities
Pay Rate/Salary Estimated Salary:
$53.00 to $61.00 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors. HarveStaff LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
