How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As Designer II, you will lead, oversee, and work with less experienced designers to ensure timely, orderly, and accurate completion of cooling tower orders. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the project team's output is consistent with project requirements, applicable science, and all regulatory codes. This role will be responsible for the progression of orders from field sales representatives to application engineers and ultimately to the plan for fabrication or the field for construction. The incumbent must excel at creating drawings in the CAD tools relevant to the assigned products. Also, responsible for the fabrication details, design, proper descriptions, and engineering specifications of materials coming from vendors. The incumbent will deal directly with vendors and/or field erectors in order to address problems affecting material shipments and/or product construction. A successful incumbent will work efficiently and accurately, and collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and other departments.
