• Posted on May 1, 2026 Published By Jennifer Andrews Seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer for a contract to hire opportunity working at our client location in Coldwater, Michigan who specializes in the design and manufacturing of ramp systems.

This role is responsible for creating accurate, production-ready drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, supporting both custom and standard ramp designs for residential and commercial applications. Salary range $40k

• 44K. Hours will be M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Key Responsibilities for Cad Designer position:
• Design wheelchair ramps, platforms, and stairs using CAD
• Produce detailed shop drawings, layouts, and installation plans
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production to ensure accuracy and feasibility
• Revise designs based on site conditions, client needs, and code requirements
• Translate field measurements, photos, and specs into precise drawings
• Ensure compliance with ADA and local building codes
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
• Coordinate with subcontractors and building departments for permits Apply now!

Qualifications for the

CAD Designer:

• One year of experience required, schooling can be considered
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (required)
• Strong understanding of dimensions, tolerances, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of ADA accessibility guidelines
• Experience in structural, construction, or ramp system design preferred
• Experience with custom fabrication or modular systems
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes
