CG Automation & Fixture (CGAF), located in Comstock Park, MI is looking for an experienced Data Prep team member! Our state-of-the-art facility boasts the latest machining technology in the area and our workforce can design and build the impossible. This position is ideal for a highly motivated team-player who thrives in a fast-paced, supportive environment. Team members within our Data Prep department serve as a link between Design and Shop Floor manufacturing. This role requires attention to detail, aptitude for CAD, and ability to collaborate well with others.
Primary Functions and Responsibilities:
Able to work with minimal supervision in an efficient, effective manner. Prepare the files of data that are received from the design department for use by the machinists. Assure that the floor has the latest data that is in the design. Assure that the machinists receive the data in the correct type of file format. Confer with machine department to determine the best machining practices for the components that need to be machined. Use Epicor (ERP system) Able to multi-task and possess organizational skills
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Must possess sound problem-solving skills. Must possess quality communication skills. Personal computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite required. 5+ years Design and CAD experience, strongly preferred. Experience in a tool shop, preferred.
