Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic design and engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models that support architectural, engineering, and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with a variety of CAD software and building information modeling (BIM) tools, ensuring that all designs meet industry standards, building codes, and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects through detailed drafting, system design, and 3D modeling. Duties Develop detailed construction documentation and schematics using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks. Create accurate 3D CAD models utilizing tools like SketchUp, 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, Rhinoceros 3D, and other modeling platforms. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to translate conceptual designs into precise technical drawings. Conduct building code analysis to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards. Prepare construction detail documentation that supports fabrication, installation, and construction processes. Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to facilitate integrated project workflows. Assist in system design and mechanical design tasks by providing detailed CAD drawings. Review project schematics for accuracy and clarity; revise drawings based on feedback. Support the development of interior design concepts through detailed drafting and graphic design skills. Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for easy retrieval during project phases. Skills Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, SolidWorks, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, and Rhinoceros 3D. Strong experience with building code compliance and construction detail documentation. Knowledge of building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project delivery. Skilled in 3D CAD modeling and system design across various disciplines such as architecture, mechanical systems, and interior design. Ability to analyze building codes and translate regulations into compliant drawings. Experience with graphic design principles relevant to technical presentations. Familiarity with engineering CAD design processes for mechanical or structural components. Excellent drafting skills combined with attention to detail in both 2D and 3D environments. Effective communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams. Prior experience in construction or related fields is highly desirable.
