Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION
Review customer-provided information to identify factors affecting product design. Perform necessary calculations to ensure dimensions, tolerances and other specifications are accurate as represented; notify customer of any discrepancies. Apply knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials, etc., in developing designs. Consult other departments as needed to ensure integrity and manufacturability. Define, verify, and update bill of material requirements as drawings are developed. Ensure accuracy of work by checking dimensions, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and of various parts to the entire project. Notify appropriate personnel when other activities are ready to be performed during the design process (material updates, design checks, obtaining load calculation certifications, etc.) Submit preliminary and approval drawing packages to customers for review; make changes as needed. Submit final (certified) drawing package to customer. Submit fabrication drawings to manufacturing and monitor throughout the manufacturing process.YOU HAVE
Two-year technical degree in drafting and design Proficiency with AutoCAD drafting software and with 3-D modeling software (AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar) Thorough knowledge of electro-mechanical product design drafting practices Ability to accurately and independently generate complex designs and assemblies Solid performance on pre-employment skills testing Ideally 5+ years of electro-mechanical product design experienceWE HAVE:
