Job Description
Job description Hydraulic Technician will be responsible in inspecting, assembling, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic pumps, valves, motors, and components. Must also be skilled in using pneumatic power tools, operating forklifts, and doing some heavy lifting. 5+ years hydraulic experience is preferred. We will consider a well skilled mechanic to be trained in hydraulics. This position is in a fast paced and dynamic environment. We maintain a drug and tobacco free facility. Job is a full time position with shops hours from 7:30 to 5 M-F. Must furnish own tools and have clean driving record. Candidate must be able to work well with others and have the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including medical, dental, and a simple
IRA. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Tear down and evaluate hydraulic motors, valves, pumps and pto's Must be able to read measuring devices to evaluate parts. Install/remove hydraulic pumps, motors, hoses, and valves on trucks and equipment Fill out Work-orders to show parts used in repairs Submit Work-orders for invoicing. Clean shop area as needed and maintain shop equipment. Perform other needed tasks as delegated by supervisor.EXPERIENCE
5 years hydraulic experience is required; will train in hydraulics.SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Ability to operate hydraulic jacks, forklifts, hand tools, impact wrench, grinders, general machinery. Ability to read and understand documents such as Shop rules, MSDS, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Good verbal and written communication skills. Reading hydraulic schematics a plus.PHYSICAL ABILITY
The work environment is very active. Typically the mechanic will lift, pull and move heavy parts that could be in excess of 50 lbs. The mechanic will also do a lot of walking, bending, twisting, stepping, stooping, reaching, lifting, and pushing in order to perform the job required.WORK ENVIRONMENT
: The work environment consists of handling tools, oils, hydraulic fluids, and parts required to repair hydraulic components. While performing the duties of the job, the mechanic will be regularly exposed to hydraulic oil, associated fumes, and temperature fluctuations of a shop environment.Job Type:
