MEP CAD Technician Electrical Engineering Missoula, Montana Description Electrical Drafter The Electrical Drafter position at Cushing Terrell is a full-time, on-site role based in our Missoula, Montana office. Day to day, this person works alongside electrical engineers and designers to turn design direction into accurate, codepliant construction documents. Using Autodesk Revit MEP and AutoCAD, the drafter sets up drawings to office standards, applies redlines from senior team members, and coordinates changes across other departments so every discipline stays aligned on the same set of documents. The work itself centers on producing plans, sections, elevations, schedules, and details for electrical building systems, along with basic calculations and take offs that support the broader design. This role also includes conducting site surveys under the direction of an engineer or designer to capture as built electrical conditions for use in drawings. Success in year one looks like growing independence, producing clean, accurate drawings with less oversight, building a solid working knowledge of electrical systems documentation, and bing a dependable coordination point between the electrical team and other disciplines on a project. Position Salary Range The expected salary range for this position is $43,000 to $52,000 annually.
