Technical Design and Engineering Manager Position Summary The Technical Detailer is responsible for creating detailed construction models, technical drawings, and supporting documentation that facilitate the manufacturing of SGPS ShowRig products and custom solutions. This position works closely with Technical Designers to accurately translate design concepts into production-ready documentation while maintaining compliance with company standards, project requirements, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Generate construction models using Autodesk Inventor, based on concepts or models by Technical Designers to implement in the manufacturing process. Utilize Autodesk Inventor to create detailed and precise technical drawings, ensuring alignment with department standards. Make technical specification sheets in Autodesk AutoCAD, highlighting SGPS Product features and capabilities. Participate in department meetings to update the group with project status and timeline. Create accurate and complete bill of materials for designs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and manufacturing processes to enhance design accuracy. Assist in continuous improvement efforts related to design processes and workflows. Any other action deemed reasonable or significant by management. Qualifications & Requirements Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and other relevant design tools. Previous experience in technical detailing and familiarity with fabrication processes. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and multitask effectively. Knowledge of industry standards, materials, and manufacturing processes. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant education or experience in technical detailing. Familiarity with construction drawings and documentation processes. Physical Requirements Ability to travel to various SGPS Showrig site locations as needed. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. Working Conditions This position is primarily performed in an office environment with prolonged periods of computer work. Occasional work in the warehouse, fabrication shop, or other SGPS ShowRig locations may be required to review designs, support manufacturing processes, inspect work in progress, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
