Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role serves as a core operational partner, focusing heavily on Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedule consolidation, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and job-cost accuracy across multiple distinct business divisions.
Compensation:
$140-175K+bonus and great benefits
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
8-10+ years of progressive financial leadership (VP of Finance, Controller, or CFO) within construction, specialty trade contracting, or multi-entity project-based environments.
WIP & Cost Accounting Mastery:
Proven expertise building, auditing, and managing complex WIP schedules and percentage-of-completion revenue accounting.
Team Leadership:
Experience managing direct-report controllers, accounting managers, and multi-location finance teams.
ERP Proficiency:
Solid working knowledge of construction ERP systems and job-costing software (Vista Viewpoint, NetSuite, Sage, or similar).
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MBA preferred.

BachelorsResponsibilities WIP Schedule & Revenue Management:
Lead the monthly execution and consolidation of Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules across all operating divisions, utilizing ASC 606 percentage-of-completion accounting to accurately track estimated total costs, job costs to date, earned revenue, and over/under billings.
Multi-Division Financial Oversight:
Oversee month-end close processes, cash flow forecasting, and financial statement consolidation for multiple operating entities and trade lines.
Operational Margin Analysis:
Partner directly with Division Leaders, Estimators, and Project Managers to perform cost-to-complete evaluations, identify early margin erosion, and streamline job-cost tracking.
Leadership & Team Management:
Direct and mentor accounting managers and divisional controllers, ensuring great internal controls and operational efficiency across the team.
Systems & Process Optimization:
Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes and ERP infrastructure (Vista Viewpoint / NetSuite) to enhance real-time job costing visibility.
