Use AutoCAD software to convert designs into technical drawings and plans. Prepare, revise and maintain construction drawings, details, layouts and site plans using AutoCAD. Produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms and records using computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) software. Prepare and update CD-5s and other construction documentation as required for projects. Develop Site Safety Plans and site logistic plans in coordination with project management and site safety personnel. Assist with preparation and revision of NYC DOB related drawings and documentation. Works from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects. Coordinates with project managers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems. Reviews and analyzes specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
