$45-50/hour What's the Job? Independently produce accurate drawings, models, and assemblies Operate AutoCad Inventor 3D models including iLogic automation to create order specific GA (general arrangement) and detail component drawings. Provide guidance to designers and answer questions regarding schedule Mentor staff, resolve conflicts, and oversee team training and professional development Resolve production issues on the shop floor and interpret engineering notes and sketches to resolve design-related issues Requires working closely with other engineering disciplines, Project Management, customer representatives, suppliers, and shop personnel to ensure that all aspects of the design are met. Communicates directly with project managers and sales on drawing approval submittal and status, timely GA revision, comment resolution, timely fabrication release, timely submittal to manufacturing, and the resolution of any shop design conflicts requiring clarification or revision. Updates order tracking system(s) and review customer approval drawing comments for change impacts. Verifies bill of materials and advises purchasing on release to order materials (fab release). Provides documentation necessary for product registration with regulatory agencies, for example, Canadian Registration Numbers (CRN). Works to ensure timely approval according to customer order schedules. Works with product engineering to clarify design questions by regulatory authorities. Provides improvement feedback to the iLogic developer to ensure continual improvement and efficient design solutions for reduction of Engineering and/or Manufacturing cycle time. What's Needed? Associate's degree in Drafting, Design or Engineering Degree required, but equivalent industry experience considered in lieu of degree. 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment required; air cooled heat exchanger industry experience preferred. Experience in 3D modeling packages required, Autodesk Inventor preferred. ASME Section VIII pressure vessel code and other related codes and standards ofANSI, ASTM, API.
