$25.00 - $40.00/hour, based on experience Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Electric Distribution Designer to support FirstEnergy replacement and rehabilitation projects across the electric distribution network. This position will focus on developing and modifying design packages for distribution system upgrades, equipment replacements, and system rehabilitation projects. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of electric distribution design experience, previous FirstEnergy project experience, and hands-on experience with MicroStation and DDS. This is a fully remote opportunity with no field work required. Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify design packages for FirstEnergy electric distribution replacement and rehabilitation projectsDesign upgrades involving poles, conductors, transformers, and associated distribution equipmentPrepare and revise detailed utility drawings using MicroStation and DDSReview sketches, markups, and project information to produce accurate design deliverablesFollow FirstEnergy standards, specifications, and design requirementsCoordinate with Engineers, Project Managers, and utility stakeholdersSupport distribution system replacement, rehabilitation, and modernization programsManage multiple assignments while maintaining project schedules, quality, and accuracyQualifications3+ years of electric distribution design experience requiredPrevious FirstEnergy experience requiredMicroStation and DDS experience requiredExperience with electric distribution replacement, rehabilitation, line rebuild, or equipment replacement projectsStrong understanding of utility drawings, standards, and technical specificationsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently in a 100% remote environment
