Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Hybrid 3D AutoCAD Designer/Drafter for a Las Vegas, NV opportunity supporting detailed production drawing work in a structured, deadline-driven creative and design environment. This role is ideal for a CAD professional with 3 to 5 years of experience who can create accurate, production-ready drawings and collaborate with leadership, production teams, and internal partners. This position offers the opportunity to work with established templates, SOPs, and design processes while contributing to projects that require precision, organization, and strong technical execution. The environment is well suited for someone who values clear direction, supportive leadership, positive teamwork, and the ability to take ownership of drawing packets from layout through file management. Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed, production-ready drawings using AutoCAD, CAD, and ExpoCAD, including plan views, elevations, isometric views, section views, and detailed views.
- Follow standard layout processes, templates, SOPs, and established documentation practices to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Generate graphic layouts, CNC layouts, DXF files, and related production files based on project needs and equipment requirements.
- Compile complete drawing packets, including bill of materials documentation with part numbers and properly exported BOM files.
- Identify structures that may require an engineering stamp and communicate with leadership to initiate the review process.
- Organize, name, upload, and maintain generated files using Autodesk Vault and related workflow systems. Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $28.00 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.- Work arrangement: Hybrid role based in Las Vegas, NV.
- Must be available to work mandatory overtime and weekends as needed.
- Laptop, mouse, and keyboard will be supplied.
- Candidate must provide an extra monitor and hardwired internet access. Required Qualifications and Skills
- Create accurate 3D AutoCAD production drawings and drawing packets for assigned projects.
- Generate CNC layouts, DXF files, BOMs, and technical documentation for production use.
- Manage project files using Autodesk Vault and follow standardized naming and upload procedures.
- Update job status, time tracking, and workflow information using Passport, Workfront, and Kronos.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant CAD, AutoCAD, drafting, or technical design experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and CAD-based drawing workflows.
- Experience creating plan views, elevations, isometric views, section views, and detailed views.
- Ability to work from templates, SOPs, provided files, and collaboration notes.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to communicate concerns, project updates, and technical questions through the proper chain of command.
- Must be able to clear a background check.
- Must have hardwired internet access and an additional monitor for remote or hybrid work needs. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ExpoCAD.
- Experience with Autodesk Vault, Passport, Workfront, or Kronos.
- Familiarity with CNC layouts, DXF file creation, BOM development, and production documentation.
- Experience identifying projects or structures that may require engineering review or stamped drawings.
