Senior Miscellaneous Metals Detailer Konik - 4.0 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Full-time $35 - $42 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Profit sharing Paid holidays Health insurance 401(k) Qualifications Stainless steel Drafting for metal components Full Job Description Stair, Handrail & Miscellaneous Metals Detailer Saint Paul, MN | Direct Hire | $35 - $42/hr Konik is partnering with an established architectural metals fabrication and installation company seeking a Stair, Handrail & Miscellaneous Metals Detailer to support commercial construction projects throughout the Twin Cities. This role will focus on creating detailed shop drawings, coordinating with fabrication and field teams, and developing solutions for complex architectural metal systems. The ideal candidate will have experience detailing commercial architectural metals, including stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal packages. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys solving technical challenges, working closely with fabricators and installers, and contributing to high-profile construction projects from design through installation. Responsibilities Create detailed shop fabrication and field erection drawings for architectural metals, including stairs, railings, and miscellaneous metal systems. Develop drawings from architectural and structural plans, specifications, and project requirements. Support design-build projects by providing design input and technical detailing solutions. Detail projects involving aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, and other architectural metal materials. Coordinate with field installers, fabricators, general contractors, and project teams to resolve design and installation challenges. Perform jobsite visits to collect field dimensions and verify existing conditions. Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, approvals, and production documentation. Assist shop and field teams with technical drawing questions and project coordination. Qualifications 5+ years of experience detailing commercial architectural metals, stairs, railings, or miscellaneous metals. Experience creating shop drawings for commercial construction projects. Strong proficiency with AutoCAD 2D drafting. Ability to interpret architectural drawings, structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents. Experience detailing stairs, handrails, light structural steel, and custom architectural metal systems. Experience working with aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel materials. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a small-team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with 3D modeling software or BIM tools. Experience supporting design-build construction projects. Background with architectural fabrication, ornamental metals, or specialty contractors. Familiarity with Adobe PDF tools and electronic drawing workflows.
