Conway, South Carolina/Myrtle Beach area Ideal opportunity for a detail oriented SolidWorks and AutoCAD professional Work directly with engineering, maintenance, production, and facility teams Focus on sustaining engineering, equipment optimization, plant layouts, and modernization of engineering documentation Background Requirements Minimum 2 year Associate degree in CAD/Drafting, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field 2-4 years of professional experience in mechanical drafting, CAD design, or plant layout design Highly proficient with SolidWorks, including 3D modeling, sheet metal, assemblies, and 2D drawings Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D, particularly for large facility and building layouts Experience reverse engineering physical components using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools Ability to read architectural, industrial, and plant layout drawings Understanding of machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication processes Experience with GD&T and production-ready mechanical drawings is highly desirable Manufacturing, steel, heavy industrial, or plant environment experience is a plus Must be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable

regulations Job Responsibilities Design custom brackets, safety guards, mounts, and mechanical fixtures to improve equipment safety and efficiency Support sustaining engineering activities and troubleshoot equipment issues with maintenance and production teams Reverse engineer obsolete or unavailable components and identify compatible replacement parts based on fit, form, and function Develop practical, fast turnaround mechanical solutions for factory equipment Maintain and update master facility and building drawings Organize complex plant layouts into clear layers or individual files for utilities, equipment, safety pathways, structural grids, and other facility elements Document equipment relocations and new machinery installations within facility layouts Convert legacy paper drawings, PDFs, and 2D AutoCAD files into standardized 3D models and production drawings Audit, clean up, organize, and modernize engineering file databases Establish improved documentation and version control practices Apply appropriate GD&T to ensure manufactured components meet design requirements Collaborate with shop floor technicians, engineers, facility managers, and production personnel Independently research missing information and bring outdated engineering documentation up to modern standards What is
