Overview We are seeking a talented and energetic CAD Technician/CAD Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong computer-aided design (CAD) experience, attention to detail and the ability to create accurate drawings and technical documentation. In this role, you will be instrumental in transforming conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and models using advanced CAD software. Your work will support project planning, fabrication and installation processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes. Responsibilities Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of sheet metal components, ductwork, and architectural elements using CAD software Interpret sketches, specifications and engineering documents Prepare construction detail documentation that adheres to building codes and industry standards Utilize building information modeling (BIM) tools like Revit, ArchiCAD, AutoCAD, and other related software to facilitate coordinated project workflows Conduct design revisions based on feedback and evolving project requirements Ensure all drawings meet quality standards, are properly organized, and are ready for fabrication or construction use Experience Proven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Rhinoceros 3D, Grasshopper 3D, SolidWorks or similar programs Strong knowledge of construction detail documentation and drafting standards within the building industry Familiarity with building code analysis and ensuring design compliance with relevant regulations Hands-on experience with building information modeling (BIM) tools for integrated project delivery Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Background in sheet metal design or related fields such as mechanical or architectural drafting is preferred Construction experience or familiarity with fabrication processes enhances understanding of practical application Ability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, and engineering specifications effectively Join us in shaping innovative metal solutions that build the future!
