Full-Time About the

Role:

Coastal Bend Lots is seeking a CAD Designer to support master planning, subdivision plat preparation, and site layout design for residential and commercial developments. This position will play a key role in translating development concepts into accurate, buildable plats and site plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare subdivision plats for residential and commercial developments
• Assist with master planning and overall site layout design
• Develop site plans and lot layouts
• Close survey boundaries using legal descriptions and survey data
• Draft and revise plats and related deliverables
• Work with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to ensure accuracy
• Manage and maintain GIS data layers
• Generate maps and exhibits using GIS software
• Assist with construction and development drawings as needed

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred)
• Experience with ArcGIS or similar GIS software
• Strong understanding of platting and land development principles
• Experience producing subdivision plats
• Ability to interpret legal descriptions, survey data, and engineering plans
• Experience with site layout and master planning concepts
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Preferred:

• 2+ years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with local jurisdiction platting standards
• Experience with Civil 3D
• Degree or certification in GIS, Drafting, Surveying, or related field
