Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an entry-level CAD Designer 2 with 2-5 years of experience to join our Engineering team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will work closely with engineers to transform HVAC system concepts into detailed 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) that support production and new product development. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys creating high-quality engineering documentation, collaborating across departments, and contributing to the development of innovative mechanical products. Key Responsibilities Create detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD . Develop accurate piece part, assembly, piping, structural, and sheet metal drawings. Produce complete Bills of Materials (BOMs), including material weights and specifications. Ensure all drawings include the required dimensions and views for manufacturing. Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout the design process. Read, interpret, and update complex mechanical drawings and engineering documentation. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams. Participate in design reviews and contribute technical recommendations. Manage multiple design projects while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines. Mentor and support junior designers by sharing best practices and technical knowledge. Continuously develop technical skills and stay current with engineering software and design standards. Qualifications Associate degree or technical certification in Drafting, Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred. 2-5 years of mechanical drafting or design experience in a manufacturing environment. Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD . Strong solid modeling and prototyping experience. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. Ability to read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings. Familiarity with piping, structural, and sheet metal drawings is preferred. Experience with additional design software such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, or Figma is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
