Job Description

VTS FABS LLC
has an immediate opening for a Draftsman to join our engineering staff. This position will require the individual to generate consistent and accurate TUBOCAD drawings of parts using
TURBO CAD
software.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required Demonstrate solid understanding of
TURBOCAD
software Outstanding ability to read and understand mechanical specifications and drawings Experience in Industrial and Mechanical fields. Needs a basic working knowledge and understanding of machine tooling and proper usage. General and practical knowledge of measuring tools, equipment, and concepts. Excellent working knowledge of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning Responsibilities This position will require the individual to measure and then generate consistent and accurate
TURBO CAD
drawings of parts using
TURBO CAD
software This position will require the ability to determine the manufacturing process of a new product from the fixture/work holding stage to the finish product
Drafting:
Utilize
TURBOCAD
to develop detailed fabrication drawings including part details and assemblies Develop structural models utilizing detailing software Analyze part prints, customer requirements and established standards to determine the inspection criteria for manufacturing flow and quality checks, as well as information utilized on purchasing and manufacturing documents Utilize precision measuring instruments and tools (micrometer, caliper, CMM, etc. to accurately gather data for the development of documented items Create detailed bill of materials for purchase orders Work closely with all departments in the company to ensure that the drawings convey the correct information Verify accuracy and proper application of geometric dimensioning & tolerances on prints and inspection documents Monitor, document, and control any changes made to exiting prints and technical drawings Troubleshoot problems with the Engineering Department in relation to
