CADCNC Production Technician Seasonal position with the potential to become year-round based on performance and business needs. Start Date September 1st Boot Solutions -
Salt Lake City, UT Compensation:
Starting at $21/hour, with the opportunity to earn $22-23/hour after a successful 90-day review.
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM About Boot Solutions Boot Solutions originated from Powder House Ski Shop in Alta, Utah-Utah's original ski shop, established in 1953. We've combined decades of custom bootfitting expertise with cutting-edge technology, allowing skiers to scan their feet from anywhere and receive a personalized boot fit. Using CAD software and our 7-axis robotic milling system, we create precision foam foot replicas that allow custom boot work to be completed remotely. About the Position Boot Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented CADCNC Production Technician to transform customer 3D foot scans into production-ready files for our robotic CNC manufacturing system. This role involves modifying scan data in CAD software, refining digital models, preparing files for CNC production, maintaining organized digital production records, and coordinating workflow with our warehouse team. You'll help ensure each customer's scan is accurately prepared for manufacturing by following established production standards and quality control procedures. The ideal candidate enjoys technical problem-solving, working with digital files and 3D models, and contributing to an efficient production workflow in a collaborative startup environment. This position offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in CAD design, CNC manufacturing, digital file management, and custom ski boot production while helping shape an innovative approach to remote bootfitting. This closely mirrors the responsibilities outlined for interpreting scan data, refining CAD models, preparing CNC-ready files, and maintaining production records. Qualifications Experience with CAD or 3D modeling software (Rhino, Meshmixer, Fusion 360, or similar) preferred Strong computer and technical skills Exceptional attention to detail and quality control Comfortable learning CAD and CNC manufacturing workflows Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple digital production files Manufacturing, engineering, machining, or bootfitting experience is a plus Startup mindset with the flexibility to adapt as processes evolve Advanced or expert skier preferred Benefits (Year-Round Employees) Health insurance after 1 year Retirement plan after 2 years Complimentary ski pass Opportunity to join an innovative startup with deep roots in the ski industry
