Injection Molding Process Technician 2nd

$26-$28/hour E Verify Toolbox Required Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to support production operations on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for mold startups, mold setups and changes, process troubleshooting, and optimization of existing injection molding processes. The ideal candidate has strong hands on injection molding experience, understands thermoplastics, and can use scientific molding principles to troubleshoot problems and maintain consistent production. Responsibilities Perform daily startups of production molds and establish molding processes Set up molds and perform mold changes as required Troubleshoot injection molding process issues and make appropriate adjustments Optimize molding processes to improve quality, consistency, cycle time, and production efficiency Monitor molding conditions and identify problems involving molds, machines, materials, or processes Assist with preventative maintenance on production molds, including cleaning and greasing Set up and adjust robot programs as needed Interpret molding graphs and process data Perform process troubleshooting and production sampling Assist Process Engineers with mold sampling and process development Communicate problematic molding conditions or equipment issues to shift leadership Maintain a clean and organized manufacturing area Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of injection molding, mold setup, and process troubleshooting experience preferred Strong working knowledge of thermoplastics and injection molding processes Experience performing mold startups, setups, and changeovers Ability to independently troubleshoot molding defects and process conditions Understanding of scientific molding principles Ability to interpret molding graphs and process data Experience with RJG or Master Molder methodologies is a plus Experience setting up or adjusting robotics is preferred Proficient with mold handling equipment Must provide personal hand tools required for mold setup Physical Requirements Ability to spend prolonged periods walking and standing Ability to lift up to 25 pounds Ability to exert up to 150 ft. lbs. of torque in a pushing or pulling motion Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment Compensation & Benefits $26-$28 per hour , based on experience.
