About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Process Engineer to lead the development and optimization of precision machining workflows. In this role, you will drive manufacturing excellence by programming complex components, refining production strategies, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall shop floor efficiency. Responsibilities Design and execute comprehensive CNC programming strategies for lathes, Swiss turning centers, and milling equipment. Optimize machining parameters to maximize throughput, extend tool life, and ensure consistent part quality. Lead the transition of new parts from initial concept and quoting through to full-scale, repeatable production. Troubleshoot technical production challenges by identifying root causes and implementing sustainable corrective actions. Develop and maintain standardized work instructions to ensure operational consistency across the manufacturing floor. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate manufacturability and integrate advanced automation technologies. Provide technical mentorship to setup personnel and operators to elevate team capabilities. Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience in a precision CNC manufacturing environment. Expertise in CNC programming, specifically utilizing Mastercam or similar industry-standard software. Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks or VISI). Deep understanding of machining principles, including feeds, speeds, workholding, and tooling selection. Proven ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process reliability. Preferred Skills Experience with automated manufacturing systems or robotic integration. Familiarity with quality management frameworks such as ISO, APQP, and PPAP. Practical application of SPC and root cause analysis tools. Background in high-precision, tight-tolerance component manufacturing.
