1ST SHIFT CNC PROGRAMMER

Job Description

Summary:
We are seeking a CNC Programmer to become an integral part of our team. CNC Programmers perform tasks that are essential to our production processes.
Reports to:
Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor Essential Functions:
Create CNC laser and forming programs. Create laser nests based on the production schedule. Provide feedback for cost reduction opportunities through design changes. Review laser nests for appropriate material utilization. Ensure forming programs meet all safety requirements. Coordinate with software manufacturers and the production team to troubleshoot any errors related to laser and forming programs. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work procedures. Follow industry and company policies, procedures and safety standards at all times. Effectively communicates any issues effecting production to the team lead or supervisor Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
Basic understanding of G-Code. Familiarization with MetaMation Previous experience operating lasers and/or press brakes is a plus. Have strong computer skills Able to communicate well with others. Able to work with minimal supervision/self-starter Great attention to detail. Great Attitude, Energy, Effort, and Attendance.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc) 1 Year experience creating CNC laser and forming programs. Experience using an ERP software (Plex Preferred) #WFProgram
