Job Description
Position Summary The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and documenting machining processes for prototype and low-volume production components. This role programs complex CNC milling operations using Mastercam, develops setup and tooling documentation, supports machinists during production, and drives continuous improvement in machining efficiency, quality, and cost. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Create CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling machines using Mastercam. Develop and maintain setup sheets, tool sheets, process flows, and work instructions. Evaluate customer drawings, CAD models, and specifications to determine manufacturability and machining strategy. Select appropriate tooling, work holding, cutting parameters, and machining methods. Support prototype development and first article manufacturing activities. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues on the production floor. Collaborate with machinists, quality personnel, engineering, and customers to ensure requirements are met. Optimize cycle times, tooling utilization, setup reductions, and machine efficiency. Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews. Review inspection results and implement corrective actions when required. Maintain revision-controlled process documentation. Support Prototype production activities and transfers. Assist with machine prove-outs, validation, and process qualification activities. Ensure compliance with
