The Position Work to improve reliability of the process control systems to meet current & projected customer, business & regulatory requirements. Relationships Reports to Manager, Senior Manager. Essential Functions Support plans to maintain & improve process control systemsDemonstrate awareness of systematic problem-solving in everyday lifeSchedule & execute plans in coordination with operations schedulesOwn self-development & initiative to build an understanding of automation applications & systemsAdhere to the automation standards & implement the necessary changes to the automation-related specifications & maintenance plansSupport Engineering TechniciansAssist in coaching & training colleagues & stakeholdersOperate in compliance with a quality first mindsetAssist in implementing process changes & investigating process deviationsWork closely with operations to identify process gaps & focus on continuous improvementSupport corporate, PS , local IT, & local stakeholder initiatives & projectsGovern behavior based on the Novo Nordisk WayFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related field of study from an accredited university requiredMay consider an Associate's degree in engineering or related field from an accredited university with two (2) years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems requiredMay consider a High School Degree/GED with four (4) years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems requiredMinimum of two (2) years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utility, &/or packaging systems preferredTechnical/Process/Functional knowledge preferredKnowledgeable in the following technologies: PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL (databases), Historian, general controls a plus
