The Manufacturing Engineer works under general supervision to implement lean principles and technologies to support business unit initiatives to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. Using their strong analytical, diagnostic, and investigative skills, the Manufacturing Engineer will determine methods and procedures to solve complex problems, improve quality and product development, reduce loss, and increase efficiency. This role primarily supports the plastics injection mold department.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
Coordinate technical notices from customers through engineering notice procedure, assist with various team projects as needed, and recommend methods and processes required to meet production/design objectives Develop and maintain manufacturing operation standards and time standards for manufacturing processes, recommending methods and processes required to meet production/design objectives Analyze causes of manufacturing process issues, develop enhancements, and implement approved actions to improve the manufacturing processes through machine corrections or the use of additional tools and/or automation Research new automation equipment and coordinate with vendors and purchasing to procure new equipment and perform proof of concept checks, leading the introduction of newly purchased products to the manufacturing areas Provides training and guidance to cross-department personnel as required, supporting team projects as needed Follow company-wide safety programs, 5S initiatives, and ISO procedures Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, visiting other manufacturing facilities, and participating in professional societies
Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent education and experience required Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience required Minimum 3 years injection molding experience Experience in blow molding a plus Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma Proficient with SPC (Statistical Process Control) systems and software such as Minitab, Statica, NWA or equivalent Utilize critical thinking to propose creative solutions to complex problems Prioritize workload to consistently meet deadlines and production requirements, managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently Proven experience writing, developing, and delivering technical reports and presentations Advanced PC skills are required, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel Domestic and International business travel may be required
