This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll work closely with Operations, Equipment, Quality, and Engineering to improve manufacturing processes, solve complex problems, and introduce new technologies. Your expertise in injection molding will be critical as you analyze process performance, troubleshoot molding defects, reduce scrap, and improve quality and productivity. You'll also have the opportunity to support new product launches, mold trials, resin qualifications, automation projects, and the development of improved manufacturing methods. Just as important, we're looking for an engineer who can move comfortably between data analysis, the production floor, and cross-functional teams to turn ideas into practical results. What You'll Do Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, efficiency, and overall process capability Apply lean principles, engineering methods, and data-driven problem solving to address complex manufacturing challenges Use SPC systems and software to monitor process performance, identify variation, analyze trends, and drive process improvements Troubleshoot injection molding processes and defects, determine root causes, and develop sustainable corrective actions Lead or support CAPA activities related to manufacturing process issues, quality concerns, and recurring defects Develop and implement process enhancements through machine modifications, tooling, automation, and improved manufacturing methods Support mold trials, resin qualifications, process development, and new product launches from initial evaluation through production implementation Analyze production data to identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve productivity, and optimize molding processes Develop and maintain manufacturing operation standards, process documentation, and time standards to support consistent production performance Research new automation equipment and technologies, coordinate with vendors and Purchasing, and conduct proof-of-concept evaluations Lead the introduction and implementation of new equipment, tools, automation, and manufacturing technologies within production areas Coordinate technical notices and engineering changes while ensuring production requirements and design objectives are effectively addressed Develop technical reports, presentations, and recommendations to communicate findings and proposed solutions Provide training and technical guidance to operators, technicians, and cross-functional personnel on processes, standards, and best practices Support continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects while managing multiple priorities and deadlines Why Join Us? What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and applicable experience Minimum 3 years of manufacturing engineering experience required Minimum 3 years of hands-on injection and blow molding experience required, Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, equipment, materials, and process optimization Experience with SPC systems and software is essential Experience troubleshooting molding defects and leading or supporting CAPA activities Experience with mold trials, resin qualifications, and new product launches Experience analyzing production data to reduce scrap and improve productivity Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with automation, tooling, equipment implementation, or process development preferred Strong analytical, diagnostic, and investigative skills with the ability to solve complex problems Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook Proven ability to develop and deliver technical reports and presentations Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Ability to prioritize multiple projects and consistently meet production requirements and deadlines What Sets You Apart You're an engineer who is comfortable getting onto the production floor and seeing the process firsthand You understand injection molding beyond the theory and can connect process conditions, equipment, materials, and product quality You use data and SPC to understand variation and make informed engineering decisions You approach defects and process problems by looking for the true root cause—not just a temporary fix You're able to take a manufacturing challenge from investigation and analysis through implementation and measurable improvement You're comfortable working with operators, technicians, vendors, and leadership and can translate technical concepts into practical solutions You enjoy bringing new ideas, equipment, and automation into production and seeing them successfully implemented You're proactive, organized, and capable of managing several engineering projects while keeping production needs in focus You enjoy sharing your knowledge and developing the technical capabilities of the people around you
