Principal Offshore Flow Assurance Engineer Position Summary
We are seeking a Principal Offshore Flow Assurance Engineer with 20+ years of experience supporting offshore oil and gas developments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for flow assurance studies and multiphase flow analysis across all project phases, from concept selection through FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning, and start-up.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with OLGA modeling, subsea production systems, offshore pipelines, risers, and deepwater developments. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and work closely with process, subsea, facilities, and project teams to ensure safe and reliable offshore production systems.
Key Responsibilities
Lead flow assurance studies for offshore and subsea developments.
Perform and review steady-state and transient simulations using OLGA and other industry software.
Evaluate and mitigate flow assurance risks including hydrates, slugging, wax, scale, and thermal management.
Support design of subsea flowlines, risers, export pipelines, and offshore production facilities.
Develop flow assurance strategies for start-up, shutdown, depressurization, and normal operations.
Provide technical support during Concept Select, Pre-FEED, FEED, detailed design, commissioning, and start-up.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering.
Minimum 20 years of flow assurance experience in the oil and gas industry.
Extensive offshore and subsea project experience.
Expert knowledge of OLGA and multiphase flow simulation.
Strong understanding of:
Hydrate management
Slugging analysis
Wax and scale prediction
Pipeline hydraulics
Thermal analysis
Subsea production systems
Key Competencies
Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients.
Proven ability to independently lead flow assurance scopes on major offshore projects.
